Massachusetts hospitals and health systems provide more than $1 billion in community benefits each year, offering their communities programs outside of the hospital’s walls to support people’s wellbeing in the places where they live, work, and play.

One such example is Cambridge Health Alliance’s Revere Mobile Market that regularly offers CHA patients, Revere residents, and others fresh produce and non-perishable items, as well as free blood pressure readings.

The market takes place at CHA’s Revere Care Center, 454 Broadway, and occurs on each of the days on this list from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. rain or shine.

Registration is required but only on the day of the market and all that CHA asks for is the person’s name, address, contact information, and size of household. No documents are needed. People that provide an e-mail address will be sent a CHA Mobile Market ID card that they can use for future registration check-ins.

Just recently, CHA served 550 bags of fresh produce and non-perishables to more than 2,125 participants. The health system’s partners in the endeavor are the Greater Boston Food Bank and Point32Health.
