The Caring for the Caregiver Task Force, convened by MHA, released its report earlier in 2021. The Task Force’s co-chairs recently penned an op-ed for the Boston Business Journal, outlining their perspectives on what healthcare organizations – and our system at large – must do to support healthcare workers as we transition into the “new normal.”

“As our caregivers have made incredible sacrifices to protect our commonwealth and save lives, one thing has become increasingly clear: They are the most vital component of our healthcare system. Addressing the challenges these healthcare professionals face in service to our patients must be a top priority as we strive toward a new normal.”
