Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Priorities
MHA’s Standing Committee on Diversity, Health Equity & Inclusion (SCODHEI) advises MHA’s Board of Trustees and staff on actions that will advance DHE&I across the healthcare system. The Committee established six pillars to guide this work.
Leverage MHA’s collective voice to advance advocacy and policy positions that view inequality as a central healthcare issue.
Develop and champion hospital and health system-specific and statewide health equity goals.
Expand diversity within Massachusetts healthcare leadership and workforce through training mentorship, measurement and pipeline development.
Expand diversity within Massachusetts hospital and health system Boards and governance structures through education, measurement, and Board pipeline development.
Create forums, resources, and communities for sharing best practices on diversity, health equity, inclusion, and anti-racism among MHA members.
Drive diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism into all of MHA’s internal policies, organizational culture and association activities.

MHA is committed to weaving diversity, equity, and inclusion into the fabric of our work and the work of the entire provider community. It is our responsibility to lead by example, both within and outside the healthcare sector.
